About this art: Based on the title and theme of the previous work, "Bloom", we wanted our piece to be something natural. We had been growing some new strawberry plants and they needed a better home than red solo cups, so we decided to re-purpose an old bread pan. We painted a field with wildflowers on the pan and replanted the strawberries. Lastly, we added the egg shells as a nod to the sculpture pictured in the previous work, and they fit so well with the birdlike tune that the previous artist wrote! (Fun fact: forgetting there was a theme, Nick painted flames on one side of the pan!)
About Chelsea Campbell and Nick Moyer: Chelsea and Nick love being resourceful, preferring to re-purpose things over buying new ones. They're excited for the summer to start growing their garden, which is sure to include more painted pots. They live together in Bloomington with their cat and muse, Koji.
