The perfect weather for sitting on the floor and telling sad stories. So I found a sad story for you, one told first by a character of Louisa May Alcott’s in 1886: ‘Mary’s Dream.’ In it, Mary is visited in the night by the ghost of her love telling her to weep no more; the storm has passed.
About Allison Dettloff: Allison Dettloff is a recent graduate of Indiana University with a degree in bassoon performance. Her focus and passion, however, is in scoring for visual media; storytelling has always been the goal of her musical pursuits. She is a massive fan of mixed modern and folk styles, and was ecstatic to put that to use here, in addition to the cinematic sensibility that has served her well in her scores. She has studied scoring under Larry Groupé and during her time at IU has worked on several short films (most recently ‘The Journey Home,’ director Michael Alicoate) and is most proud to have recently completed work as both composer and sound designer of video game High Above, published by Madbot Games in collaboration with the IU Media School.
